Welcome to The 92 and Beyond. England is the very place where the beautiful game originated and today throughout the pyramid, fans of football continue to pack stadiums around the country.
My background as a fan began during the boom time of the Premiership, or Premier League as it’s now known. Stepping through the turnstiles at Leicester City for the first time back in 1995 has led me onwards throughout the professional divisions, into non-league and even around the world.
I began writing about football back in 2010 following a new found love for groundhopping. My journeys would take me around Europe watching the likes of Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund and even the Madrid Derby. Sharing these experiences added to a new community of football supporters that was rapidly emerging thanks to affordable travel.
In more recent years, I have volunteered as a match reporter at Shepshed Dynamo FC of the Northern Premier League Midlands Division, written for national media and GiveMeSport, and more recently had taken a leap into the world of live football commentary.
The 92 and Beyond is a continuation of a journey, displaying articles featuring both past and present events both on and off the pitch both at home, and sometimes a little more further afield. Articles, insights and even a podcast make up this dedicated addition to the football scene, whichever level your team may be at.
